Cocks on clocks (Part the Sekonda)

Tudor Monarch. California dials don’t feel very 2026 to me.

The new Vacheron Overseas GMT (I think) looks nice tho.

They call it a dual time.

Boutique only release, not sure about the new colourways.
I tried on its predecessor and it is a chunky thing.

Edit, Hadn’t realised the new ones are titanium not stainless steel. Will make a difference to the feel.

In the PF Tonda range they did a GMT where the GMT hand hid behind the hour hand when not set making it look like a three hander, they have now done the same trick with a chronograph.

When the chronograph is not in use the chrono hands hide behind the normal hands,

Excellent…I’d have one…

Now That is pretty damn nice. Centre-hands chronos are rare as.

I hate them; the horological equivalent of ADHD. It’s doubly annoying there as the basic design and colourway of the rest of the watch is quite nice.

Me too.
Neither one thing nor the other.
Nomos manage to ruin a nice watch with a Californian dial.

Not a huge fan of IWC in general but that vertical pilot is gopping enough for me to glance at again. At 20+k it’s hardly a moonswatch rival though.

On balance it’s a no from me though as there is now a UN Super Freak which I’m furiously bashing my metaphorical bishop over.

Also Rolex’s novelties look like they took a squiz at last years Omega catalog and went ‘yeah, that’.

I’ll just add to the horror of all that I rather like that PF and would buy one immediately after the above Super Freak.

I actually really like the dial and hands of the Tudor - the ‘California’ shenanigans don’t bother me - but I hate the case, looks like a clumsy take on the (e.g.) Citizen Tsuyosa.

The only Tudor I’ve liked the look of!

Well it has arrived, got both a material and rubber with deployment, but fancy it on the material one atm.

Now I just need to take it down to 5000m and test the un-compressible nature of it

Funny - I really like Sinn’s own two part nylon - a NATO adds too much thickness to what are already THICC watches.

I do like it, but find the U50 that much smaller than the U1 I used to have, so don’t think the extra height is an issue.

I might like the two part strap more if the buckle was brushed instead of shiny. But an easy thing to fix I guess
