Coffee grinder Needed

Mine’s packed in - Mrs MWS is not to be triffled with in the mornings until she’s had her ‘petrol’ - Today our Eureka grinder has expired (Changed the fuse and spoke to it nicely) Unlike Mrs MWS who spoke strongly to all and sundry !

Probably not worth sending it off if it’s a mother board and the burrs are probably well worn..

Anyone got anything spare?

I’ve still got my old kitchen aid thingy, it works fine, also comes with a conversion kit to enable the use of Mazzer burrs (including a set of burrs) when the originals finally bite the dust.

It’s red.

Wife, who BTW is furious without coffee, says Red worn’t ‘Go’ !! I’m bewildered.

I suspect you are right - I will endeavor to act as if I have a choice in this matter

That looks cool, but I can’t seem to check out when purchasing - Seems they don’t want to ship to the UK??

I’ll have a look if I’ve still got my Wilfa Svart grinder as I’m not using it anymore.

It’s a good grinder for filter coffee and reasonable for espresso.

If not this is a good price for one

Hmm OK. Looks like it’s £240 from UK-based retailers/

Still curious about this one Mark, do you think it’s still half decent for £230?

Was also looking at this but mostly because it’s pleasing to the eye - Not sure whats mechanically going to deliver a better result?

Oddly just got this email, it is an excellent grinder for the money and good for espresso through to pour over grind sizes unlike that fellow one

Thanks Dom, that’s two votes for this one

They’ve all got their pros/cons/quirks

I got that too.

It will be my next one when the svart goes

@Ruprecht there’s a separate listing for a 240V version which you should be able to check out. With shipping the price is £193 but you might get caught by customs. Up to you if you want to chance it or just pay the £240 from a UK source.

This is serendipitous. I was about to post saying that I’m selling my replacement Wilfa Uniform which I bought in part on the basis of Hoffman’s reviews below.

It’s new and unopened. I got it as a warranty replacement as the hopper thread on my previous unit had jammed (on reading user reviews, it seems like one needs to be careful when unscrewing the hopper - to clean out any grinds which can become caught before re-screwing back on - I wasn’t aware of this and managed to banjax it trying to force the hopper back on).

I’ve been very happy with it. The only reason I’m selling is I feel like trying the Lagom Casa.

Happy to discuss the price with you. I could be a little flexible.

That’s most kind - I went ahead and bought the DF54 - It seemed at it’s price point to be OK.

Really excellent, by all accounts.
