Surprise line and length…
Why would you not want to think about coffee? Thinking about coffee is cool.
I have a Gustatory subscription and I’m thinking I’ll probably add a Skylark one too as I’ve been supplementing with them recently. I even ordered their deluxe blend when I went back to order some filters.
Similar to you though, I’m just not sure what they’ll send on a subscription. Their Tropical/Juicy will likely be good as I seem to prefer natural processing.
Just opened the recent Gustatory delivery today from Schot, very nice.
A gesha this week on the Origin subscription

Coffee enema tools ![]()
Gave this a shot today for the first time.
I prefer it with. This could be due to my V60 style dripper basically being a DIY thing I bought from Etsy, where the paper filter has never been seated very well due to the imperfect bottom. I had a better, quicker flow.
It’s supposed to make the conical dripper more like a flat bottom dripper and the coffee was closer to the cup I had earlier using the Blue Bottle.
It comes with a little plastic tool to help fold the filter so that the filter sits nicely over the LilyDrip, pretty neat.
Very nice ![]()
I’ve got the Niche Duo too - wish I’d read your post further up ![]()
Ah yes that reminds me I really must move that on. Boxed it up and forgot about it
Might do the same - mine has been a faff from the off
Anyone tried an Aeropress? Looks like a speeded up Cafetière to me, which makes me think it won’t brew long enough.
I use one roughly every other day.
Smaller than a cafetiere, much higher pressure required to plunge, very easy to clean - the coffee and filter come out as a solid puck.
Ahh that’s good. Cleaning out the coffee from the Cafetière is a pain in the arse.
The Aeropress dates back to when I had to be out the door at 7am ![]()
Coffee made in 30 seconds and almost zero clean-up.
Used to use one fairly regularly, you will be pleased to know there are many ways to make it very faffy and a yearly world championships
I used to use one a lot. You can make blinding coffee with it. The Aussie guy I used to work with had a faffy recipe for 3 which involved time and diluting with fresh water in the cup. I never got the hang, but he used to make really good coffee using it.
I have one as my office faff. I have also got a metal filter for it for brews where you don’t want to cut out the oils (most to my taste) but you have to go inverted and it does tend to slightly spray stuff out of the sides as you plunge.
