Covfaffe - the road to despair, calling at futility and disappointment

I’m having another cup right now and I still don’t know what the fuck it is.

It’s a bit like cold brew coffee - first you have no clue what it’s meant to be, then you find that it does have some merit. But you’re never sure if you want another.

Yeah it’s more tea like to my mind. I will try a few more, but I can see myself going back to his original method

Currently using a Sage Bambino. I’ve never been happy with the pressure for frothing. Don’t mind second hand - What should I buy around £1K ?

Have you ever cleaned the steam wand, or descaled if you live in a hard water area?

Or is the pull of the shiny just overwhelming?

That’s odd, that was one of the best things about the Bambino, there is a nozzle cleaning kit if I remember correctly might to time to get it out and yes as mark says descale. I used filtered water in mine and still descaled

I’ve de scaled and used the pin thing - Trouble is I want micro bubbles damn it all - How is a man going to sculpt a penis on his wifes’ coffee in the morning without micro bubbles ?

Bring it over to Lopwell we will see if we can achieve phallic nirvana

I’ve actually started drinking coffee again (Decaf) I’ve been enjoying it, so I thought an upgrade may be in order, the bambino is now a few years old

Better grinder.

I did wonder who’d jump on that first.

I bought myself a lightly used Dualit Cino for my last birthday. Plenty of grunt & staying power behind that magic wand. Fnnarr.

If steam pressure is a big deal, for that kinda money you could look at somerthing lkle a rocket apartemento. I favour a dual boiler for stability and consistency, but most lower price dual boilers use small thermoblocks for steam.

The apartemento is a heat exchanger system which means the steam boiler is nice and chunky!
