Day 7. While the worst is over now, still testing positive, still coughing and still knackered.
Sore throat, hacking cough, dead tired,
Neg Covid test and havenât had flue or Covid booster jab
Doc reckons a virus from phone consultation
use your own phone in the future then.
Odd way to catch one?
Keep testing. I expect youâll be covid positive in the next few days. A lot of people are finding it takes a while for a positive test to appear but eventually it does.
Hope you feel better soon.
Friends sister who is a doctor had symptoms for 7 days before showing positive
Whatâs going on there ? Has the virus somehow mutated away from the test chemistry, so you need a huge viral load before the test can see it ? Or do the latest variants of the virus give you symptoms much earlier than the original Wuhan strain did ? Or is it something else ?
Maybe the Dept of Health doesnât care. In the move to âliving withâ an endemic covid perhaps they want to wean us off relying on tests and get us just to stay away from other people when we feel ill, whatever we might feel ill with ?
I should have added this was last Xmas,so no idea if it is the same strain that is currently circulating
She was really surprised it took so long to show up positive
I and Mrs Waxy both tested positive on the first day of our symptoms appearing. FoL is on 3rd day of symptoms and has tested negative every day.
This is good, Iâm using that at work at the moment, will hopefully keep our the common cold infected wankers who insist on coming into work and coughing that shit all over the place.
Balloux has retracted, the authors are still going at it. Who knows, eh?
So, just another load of Balloux then?
Came down on Sunday night with what I thought was some malign allergic reaction / hay fever / cold combo.
Few minutes ago I realised that I was really fatigued and the fact that everything smells burned might not be a bad bottle of vape juice.
Modern euphemisms: walking into the pharmacy and saying âI would like to buy some covid testsâ = âI think I might have covidâ.
That is bad luck Guy. Hopefully, it will be a mild dose that passes quickly.
Sorry to see that. All the best for an easy ride.
Shit, fingers crossed for a mild one.
Considering airlifting in some posh headphones because oh, oh, Iâm poorly
On the plus side you can still eat and drink like a 21 year old.
Unfortunately the vicious diverticulitis flare-up says no.
Thatâs just a lesson Iâm going to have to learn.
