Buttler’s first game as England’s captain not what he would have hoped for, well beaten.
Credit to India though, their bowlers were exceptional and Pandya was brilliant with bat and ball.
Mind, it must be difficult to play against a team with Hardik and Arshdeep in it without a chuckle or two.

Actually managed to watch a decent chunk of it - score line felt pretty fair. We did a decent job with the ball, but we’re shoddy with the bat on the whole. Although to be fair to Livingstone that ball was a fucking beauty that nailed it.

We’ve been well beaten in both games so far by a top side in great form. Hopefully tomorrow our batting will fire and we will give them a game.
Stokes, Bairstow and Rashid will come in and that will help but India look the team to beat in the World Cup.
Agree and Agree , Slight left of field would be Joe Root, he is deceptively slick in accumulating swift runs in T20/50 overs and at last has a sense of playing the ball on its merits.
Root in ODIs all day for me. Not sure about T20s though.
You may be right in that 50 overs allows him time to accumulate whilst someone else at the other end wields the long handle,

Very lucky there. Buttler error leaving the 19th over to Moeen was a huge gamble that won’t work 8 out of 10 times.
