Cricket, lovely cricket (Part 1)

When the ‘Times of India’ are saying Kohli should have been given out, you know it was a poor decision. That was the series, right there.

Nothing on UltraEdge? Wow. That’s a shocker of a decision from the TV umpire Joel Wilson . He believes there’s an inside edge on that, but on side-on replays it was clear that the sound was off the bat clipping the pad. Don’t think there’s an edge on that IMHO. They didn’t go for the ball-tracking for obvious reasons. Root isn’t pleased, the England team didn’t like that. They lose a review for an umpiring fault. Kohli was pressing towards the line of the ball and the ball grips slightly before spinning back sharply past his inside edge.

Btw, TOI is just the best written cricket coverage. Not just for Indian cricket, but worldwide.

If Kohli had been given out then it would not be as exciting for the afternoon session so at least there is an upside (as long as England ultimately win obviously).

Not for me. I hope we skittle them for <150

That would let me turn over to watch the footie later.

Jesus…

Looks outside the line

Told Ya (even if I am 90 seconds behind).

Poor review imo - too desperate to get Kohli out.

Very good umpiring

Good spell this by Ali, probing, patient and economical

Spin both ends.

Moeen does it. No reprieve there!!!

Why did Kohli waste the review ? Could be costly

I fancied he would get him

Ridiculous bouncer from Stokes

Probably just reminding Rahane that he can’t get forward for every ball.

And some, it went about three feet over his head! :joy:

Another excellent catch
