Someone in public life showing some real integrity is refreshing, if disappointingly rare. Credit to him.

To be fair, England doing well at one form of cricket out of 2/3 is an improvement on some times in living memory.

It’s the national squad, the focus should be entirely Test > ODI > T20. The problem isn’t the test focus, it’s the prevalence of T20 and Hundred games / focus.

Completely agree

How do you prevent players taking up extremely lucrative offers from the wealthy franchises around the World? I can’t imagine the ECB have anywhere near the funds to compete.

You cannot stop that, they’re always going to bugger off to the IPL, but the instigation of an even shorter format that’s not played anywhere else in the form of The Hundred was the most preposterous piece of stupidity.

No doubt.

Invented to generate money and if there were other reasons they’ve escaped me.

Crisps. Lots and lots of crisps.

Looks like a potentially close match between Straya an Sou’frica.

The final is proving to be very entertaining

Can’t believe Smith didn’t review.

Brilliant match so far. The atmosphere is fantastic.

It’s going to take some effort to stop Straya from here.

I guess it’s too much to ask for Head to get to 150 :crossed_fingers:

Might shut Ponting up a bit as his highest score in the final is 140.

That is the only upside.

Bored Indian fans are about to become the new meme by the look of it.

His catch was superb as well. Had a blinder.

Two very good sides.

Well done to Australia, fully deserved their victory today, outplayed India in every department.
