Curious incident of the fish in the night time

River is about 6 miles away, there is a reservoir about 3 miles away. A local chap works on the waterways and reckoned it could have been the very heavy rain around at that time which raised the stream levels and the otter has followed these. His words were “they are everywhere now” and quite common for them to turn up. He also said they can travel up to 50 miles in a day.

You clearly still have a fish left. He won’t stop until he’s had it.

No fish. He cleared us out nearly a month ago now.

The pictures I posted last time were taken about a week after the fish were killed. I guess he keeps coming back hoping for more unless he wants a dip in the pond.

Or a new hs2 otter link built

Some chicken wire around the bottom of the gate might keep it out and let you repopulate the pond.

We have given up with fish, happy with a wildlife pond

Another visit last night

There is a stream not far from the bottom of the garden this then runs under our neighbours before reappearing in the pocket park over the road. I think he is using our garden to get from one to the other.

The park is locked at night so nice and quiet.

You should leave some bits of fish out for him :grinning:
