LOL, I was thinking more along the lines of damping or something but probably not enough energy in the higher frequencies to matter.

Nah, just saving material, I’m just using the default infill settings (cubic, 20%)

I’ll make Adam’s with 3% infill to save in materials, because he’s an accountant.

How spendy are the consumables?

For example what’s the material cost for the full size tweeter horn, just curious.

I’ll just fill it with grout

This is about 130g of material, so about £2.50. But don’t tell Adam as his special price is 8 Turans. :grinning:

Turans, the new crypto currency. :yum:

On my iPad autocorrect of Turans is Turbans so make sure you don’t get 8 turbans.

That will pay for the sticks for the chicken lollipops :grinning:

He’ll probably try and stiff me something like that.

Some quality issues (a bit of layer shifting), but I think that’s down to the slicer I used - old version of Slic3r because CURA didn’t like Chris’s STL files.

I now have a way of fixing them so that CURA is happy, so will try again at some point.

If they don’t work as horns you can convert them to she-wee’s

Still look pretty darn good, from scratch.

How long does the process take?

Depends on the slicer settings, but this took just under 12 hrs.

3D printing really is a massive opportunity in every walk of life. Now the cost of entry is fairly low, and the quality improving all the time, more and more formerly out-of-reach ideas will become practical

I wonder how far off printing drive units is?

Is the material suitable for finishing by hand?
Ie will it tolerate light sanding?

Can you do them in mauve?

Yes. There are other solutions to smoothing as well.

Yes, no problem at all. Sand, prime, paint, job done.
