DIY help - non-audio edition

I’m thinking of trying to put a small strip of something like neoprene down the edge of the wall at the front of the house - the pavement is very narrow which makes it a liability for car paintwork, and small children are invariably oblivious.

Anyone got any suggestions as to the best material? Don’t want anything massively thick, but it also could do with being something that won’t degrade too quickly. That surface gets pretty direct sunlight for the first third of the day or so.

Gregg’s stuff looks like it’s the business.

Otherwise I wondered if the foam that scaffolders put around tube which has to be in public places, or maybe external foam water-pipe insulation, might be durable in sunlight ? I think you can paint the latter too, which might help.

That does look very promising. I had been thinking a flat strip to run along the outer edge of the capping stones, but actually have it fold onto the top might work quite well.

Cheaper?
