What helped me after we lost our beautiful ridgeback Leo was one of my friends saying instead of thinking only of how much I missed him, to try to think instead of what a great life we gave him. I found it really helped. Looking at the beautiful photo of Zak that JB has posted, I’ve no doubt Zak had a great life too.

True enough. When the jazz comes on he usually retreats to the spare bedroom for a snooze. Today he’s decided to stick it out but is clearly not too happy. Bless.

All jazz as far as I can tell. He doesn’t seem to mind house music so much.
I didn’t know anti stress jackets existed. I’ll definitely buy one for him mainly for the fireworks and when I go to the football but no harm on trying it with an evening of jazz!
100% this - Zak had a great life with JB and the family and you shared some wonderful times together. So as raw and painful as things are right now just be thankful your paths crossed.
