Anyone thinking Trump would get a “warm” welcome from piss-bottle-chucking liberty-loving Brits presumably missed the whole Brexit thing and the growing lurch to the right currently underway.
Oh, and then there’s the whole police-state thing - as a local example, a large slaughterhouse in nearby Spalding is picketed from time to time by up to 4 old ladies with placards - never seen more than that, after all, it’s Lincolnshire, we LOVE eating pigs.

We can but dream - tho’ the last time there were properly large mass-protests (2nd Gulf war) - at least 4 rallies in excess of 100,000 and one that may have attracted as many as a million people - they were barely reported and may as well not have happened for all the effect they had - Bliar lied, people died, and to this day he has barely even been censured!
What little democracy we’ve ever had is utterly dead - we’re run by a corporate oligarchy that appears to have Vladmir Putin at its tiller.

I genuinely don’t think assassination or civil unrest are the answer to Trumpypoo et al.
A surge in positive manipulation of social media (actual facts) Well organized demonstrations / million man march etc would help if there was a centralized and well funded (Not the Democrats or antifa) organization capable and willing to orchestrate celebrities / experts / PR / music stunts with real traction and news values. “Russia-backed Facebook posts ‘reached 126m Americans’ during US election” (Guardian) Hints at some of the manipulative methods that need to be countered to level the playing field.

It also needs people to eschew traditional forms of media. The press, television etc are all complicit in the obfuscation of facts and the propagation of propaganda.

More celebrities, religious leaders, global companies speaking out, in short more opinion formers consistently orchestrated backed up with truth and a fuck off budget.

I can’t see a visit happening,he will either be gone,or May will drag it out til he is gone.
Could see it could be a massive problem for the police,as i’d expect loads of right wing supporters would turn up.
