America has a long and storied history of not holding their own accountable, and actively blocking anyone else from doing so either.
The lack of repercussions for the Confederacy after the Civil War was a huge error of judgement and really set a tone that’s continued.

Merrick Garland not prosecuting Trump for January 6 was a huge own goal.

The Republican Party is going to shit post the courts with challenges to every Democratic victory and try to draw certifications out for months. And of course the ICE goons at polling places
