Donald Trump finally announced as some massive in-joke (Part 2)

To be fair, a mate and I once got picked up by an airport security car for trying to walk, with luggage, to Phoenix Airport IIRC in 1982 (or it might have been Reno a few years later). Outside malls and carparks the US attitude to walking has, for a long time, been that it means there must be something wrong with you.

At least in Straya they only stare at you.
If you don’t drive a car, you must be a Hobo or summink.

LOL, in 2026 you’ll end up disappeared to some CIA black site in Eastern Europe for a bit of “enhanced interrogation”

Back then they were friendly enough. When they heard our accents they realised we were harmless but clearly just a bit soft in the head. They loaded us in the car and dropped us at Departures.

Canada too. Claire and I walked from Claire’s cousins to the centre of town, about 5 miles, and the entire family were in shock. It was a major talking point at dinner the following night. They just couldn’t get their head round why anyone would want to do that.

Partly I think because of infrastructure.

The car is king. In a lot of places there are no safe pedestrian routes. Also because of trespass laws, the public have no right of access. There is no real footpath system and certainly no right to roam like in Scotland

Very much this.
Thunder Bay is a Hub for the transportation industry as it provides the most northerly and westerly access to Lake Superior therefore the St Lawrence Seaway. That being the case the city is intersected by both the Canadian National and the Canadian Pacific railways. It has a population of over 100k yet there is no passenger railway station, they closed it in 1990. The nearest station is over 200km away which seems absolutely crazy to me.

I see the BBC has, as part of the discovery phase of Trumps law suit, issued a request for all of Trumps comms during the same period. Oh dear, never mind

Oh, even if Trump drops the suit, the discovery continues as i understand it.

As a marker for business acumen I’ve always enjoyed the fact his Casino folded. You would have to try very hard to be this poor. As a blagger he’s top tier and the logical expression of Urmerican ideals in stage 4 capitalism.

It would appear Taylor Swifts marriage is more popular than Trumps 250th celebrations. Bullshit your way out of that Trumpy.

There’s no way that wasn’t a money laundering operation.

Daddy Fred Trump would often transfer funds to Donny by buying briefcases full of game chips and never playing
