Suspect/hope Republicans will fall in line when the House is able to reconvene and will formalise the election with little more debate. The party will disown Trump although Trump will take a chunk with him.

Sad itâs come to this, probably the best thing that could have happened for the longer term. Who knows though with the current crop.
Thinking about it, letting these people have their squalid stupid way for a few hours was the better approach by the authorities. The sight of them disgracing their democracy, their country and themselves will turn everyone who can possibly be turned against them. Crushing them by force, and particularly martyring any number of them, on the other hand would have cemented their âpeople versus powerâ message. They will achieve nothing in terms of stopping Biden and Harris.
