Always sounded great at Definitive with LVās but with the dodgy knobs suggesting it may have had plenty of unofficial tinkering I doubt itās worth more than a grand.
Sounded great to me as part of Desās (haphazard) set up a year or two ago at Scalford. Paired with Avatars I believe and a chevron fettled CD player.
Has anyone else been following the saga of this Alphason Sonata turntable?
Itās a long story, but the seller appears to have started with a working Alphason Sonata, just missing its lid, and done the following:
Removed the motors and sold them for £13
Removed the clamp and sold it for £50 (after asking, £70, then £40, then back to £50!)
Attempted to sell the deck - first for £175 BIN, then £130 BIN, then a 99p no reserve auction and now for £175 BIN again!
Lets assume it goes for Ā£175 this time - his total income will therefore be Ā£238 for a deck thatās worth Ā£600 on a good day- less, say, Ā£100 for the missing lid.
I can only assume that his carer is away on holiday and heās sneaked onto the computer when no-one was lookingā¦
