Thanks for the heads up, I now own what looks like a never played, brand new boxed TTS8000. The router will be busy next week :sunglasses:

I did wonder if you’d managed to get it, good work.

Beautiful, what a find.

Nice :+1:

Superb turntable - enjoy! :+1:

Great find. :+1:

Did you get the template with it? If not give me a shout.

Got the template, there’s one on VE too. Only thing missing is the mat

Are the red screws transit bolts for the transformer, like the 6750?

That’s a pity about the mat. I have the mat but it is a little warped so I use an SDS mat with an Origin Live mat as a cover. I’d love to try a Tenuto but I worry about the weight. It’s an old deck. I’d rather give the bearing an easy life. I don’t use a hat either.

My transit screws weren’t red but they are for the transformer I believe. Mine are probably replacements.

I’ve a copper mat, it did sound better on the 6750, but thought the same about the bearing. Been a fan of the Funk mat on Garrard’s for the same reason but now have a sacrificial 3rd party bearing that works well with copper mat. *

As it happens I saw an 8750 Thursday and that had Tennutu on it.

*All I know it’s copper, it’s polished top and bottom, Guy wasn’t 100% sure it was one of his.

The Tenuto is the go to mat for the SP-10 and they are old and don’t have problems with it.

I would think it would be fine. Ask Guy.

They’re also built like a brick shithouse.

Isn’t the Sony ?

Don’t know, I haven’t got one.

The platter isn’t anywhere near as heavy, 1.5kg, I’ll probably leave the copper one for Sunday’s and holidays :joy:

Ah, OK. Bloody Jap crap !

Nice!

Have never heard any of the Art Audio kit but know it is very highly regarded here.

I’m tempted by the Argento Kevin has for sale but curious as to why this has been unsold for months now?
