Correct I had a pair of Argon 3 standmounts. Really liked them. Great bass for thier size too.
I had a pair of the Argon 3 stand mounts. They were very good but too bass-heavy for my room.
I had Amphion Xenon back a decade or more (edit: well, two decades) and really enjoyed them. Beautifully made with lovely veneer. In retrospect you could hear the metal cones and some box but they did a lot right for the dosh. Fond memoriesā¦
I think youāll find thatās how speaker drive units are supposed to workā¦
Iām on the hunt for W8ās butā¦
Oh FFS
Harmonix Tuning Dots, and ByBee Quantum Purifiers
Seller also has:
Thereās something iffy about that seller, was talking to him about the audio note stuff he was selling and just got the feeling he wasnāt being straight.
The wording of the ad put me right off. Always trust your senses.
Ohhh, they are wonderful things:
āThese devices work on the quantum mechanical level to eliminate sub-audible noiseāi.e., noise unmeasurable by typical test-bench instruments - These purifiers will require a break-in to sound bestā
I had hoped they would charge considerably more for for these:
MSRP : $3000/set of four I think is too cheap , people wonāt really value the otherworldlyness of them, shame really - spare the rod, spoil the gentleman.
Thatās some fucking ballsey copywriting right there. The level of dodging of critical analysis is pretty all encompassing.
Unmeasureable but needs breaking inā¦Poetry, no other words for it.
That bit of copy reads like the first draft of a D.Phl. in Dealercuntiness from Ballbag College, Oxford.
Also enjoying the scrappy solder overflow onto the cheap Chinesium bananas - though understandable that workmanship might be poor when selling at such a low priceā¦
I love that hifi voodoo shit.
that is unusually amusing⦠maybe its the job?
When I was a PhD student āBallbag Collegeā was where the most keenly underwhelming of young academics were reputed to have ātrainedā. Their ability to polish a turd was unsurpassed. My lack of career success is clearly due to my more mainstream training and interests.
Iāve never been convinced by Svenās SE and SE+ upgrades. They seem extortionate price gouging mechanisms for the paranoid to try to chase tiny percentages of percieved improvement. Iād rather have the W8s than the illusory upgraded W5 SE+.
Kids just canāt do shit these days.
