eBay stuff (Part 1)

Second what Paul said - I have a pair as my bedroom system - really lovely at low listening levels.

Don’t think I’d get away with the bigger models, these would fit with the ā€˜interior design constraints’ set by my lovely wife.

I wasn’t suggesting you buy the bigger models! The one-ways are lovely speakers and take-up less floor space than a set of bookshelves on stands. They are absolutely unique IME in having whizzer cones yet still sounding good. Like all such speakers they are a little constrained at higher and lower frequencies - but as is normal the medium-sized lebowski is talking out of his sphincter, and we’re certainly not talking LS3/5…
Drop Murray Johnson of this parish a PM - sure he can put you in touch with a pair at fair price without the risks and vagaries of thiefbay or forum twats.

It will take much more than Bourney to achieve that goal Rob.

True, unfortunately

I agree - they sounded best to me with the volume control on ā€˜0’.

That is such a messed up cartoon.

Keep looking at these but even if they do sound magical they are only 300-3500Hz.

Three way, open baffle bass, 160Hz horn and a tweeter. Failing to see the problem!

Anyone had the floor standing Cremona? Very tempted by a couple of pairs of the auditors available at the moment, but anticipating having to use subs…

I would be very hesitant to ship anything as delicate as a set of speakers from Italy.

I’d probably bottle it, can get a pair of auditor M from nearby exotic Walsall

Yes, I had them for about three years, and my friend had a pair as well.
Nice, musical, not the most resolving, or the tightest bass, but not offensive.

I would be very hesitant to buy anything online from a private seller in Italy.
When I ran an E-Commerce set up we refused any bids from anyone in italy as we had more problems there than the rest of Europe put together.
Partly because of a corrupt postal service to be honest, half the stuff that went through the system was nicked.

I realise that is selling into Italy not buying but personally unless I knew the seller or they were vouched for by people I know, I wouldn’t risk it.
