well worth a chat though
Iād like a go at hearing these.
Not very wife friendly looks though
Hereās how that might go:
Q: Could you tell me about the speakers?
A: They are the best amazing, hand crafted, fantastic!
Q: Why havenāt you put pictures up of what you are selling?
A: The ones we have are identical to the ones in the listing
Q: Has anyone ever asked to use your nose as a diving board?
Icon audio are generally well thought of? You donāt get a lot of speaker for Ā£2.5k these days.
They may be, if so I apologize for my cynicism. eBay is getting more slippery by the day, so Iām a little ginger looking at this sale the way it currently displays.
love the last one
They look a lot like some Chinesium speakers that were doing the dealership rounds >20 years ago - possibly under the āUsherā brand umbrella, and which used to feature on pre-Ali Express Chinese websites alongside dozens of sketchy lookalikes of PMCs, B&Ws, Castle and a bunch of other mainstream brands. At least one pair ended-up with a 'wammer briefly and were hurriedly sold-on. Admittedly, the resemblance may be just that - two attempts to copy a design by quite different makers⦠Perhapsā¦
Werenāt something similar sold as Consonance a few years ago?
Ah yes - youāve nailed it I think
Pretty sure these are just a DIY job. The Selenium drivers being the give away.
If they were an honest clone with Tad quality drivers it would be a bargain.
Problem is a 2 way like this with a 2ā or 1.5ā compression driver needs a Tad or Radian driver with beryllium diaphragms or itās going to top out at 13khz or so.
Very misleading ad.
LOL
āSupplied in original packaging with cloth bags, jumper bars and literature. ( Iām keeping the white gloves!!)ā
Singing fridges over on PFM.
The ones @omsoc listed on here first you mean.
Thats the ones
Like busesā¦ā¦
These look very nice although,
a) too far for me to collect
b) too big for a 1 bed flat
c) trying to clear debt, not add to it.
And not for sale.
One of few speakers Iāve heard at a hifi show and actually liked!
Always a silver lining.
I remember Guy (Puresound) sharing a room at Whittlebury with Aspara.
Think he had the 2a3 amp running with them? From memory it was very good.
