The guy had a really nice system, Mastersound Box amp, Luxman CD/digital transport, Luphonic turntable and a Gold Note 2 box phono stage.
The Direkts are immaculate, not a mark on them, and complete with grilles, spikes, rubber feet, spike protectors, manuals and even Allen keys. They sound fantastic too.
I dropped on very lucky indeed, cheers to Cosmo @omsoc for linking them when you could have hoovered them up for yourself!
Wicked, glad you like them!!
Cosmo is the go-to guy for bargain Hecos
Welcome to the club
Ok you’ve had them for a few hours we need some gratuitous in-situ shots now.
Still in the boxes, thought it best to cook Claire something nice for tea seeing as:
A: she basically paid for them
B: I did fuck all housework due to a 4 hour round trip to pick them up
C: I used her car and a 1/4 tank of diesel to do “B”
House to my self at the weekend though, so that’s going to be zweiklang time!
A sensible plan
Really pleased for you Rob. Enjoy.
I expect you have many many happy hours of listening and enjoying music ahead of you. Congrats.
Right thinking men should be drawn to this throw away comment - this is how it’s done properly.
Anne bought me mine as a surprise
Anne meets the very definition of a keeper then…
Aye she’s not bad
She actually loves the style of them as well.
I’ve been doing Hifi all wrong
Interesting, looks like a very very early FET/diode version @sjs @murrayjohnson
Indeed, very nice sounding pre (with valve rectifiers!)
Still boxed Direkts currently serving dual purpose as card display unit for Claire’s birthday cards and cat surveying point.
I feel an AA intervention coming your way!!
