eBay stuff (Part 2)

Carbon spdif interconnect klaxon.

Gone

And back.

Or for something just a smidge more purrty:

@MJ2 Mike, aren’t you after a 401 again?

Was this one yours?

I am, sort of Rob @Rob998 , so thanks for pointing it out. Unfortunately, I don’t like the look of that one. John @Stepmotheratomicbomb has my old one I believe.

I really like that one for a 401 look.

The 301 that AG did in I think it was pink and gold (@Ruprecht is that right?) though was top tier in the looks department, imo.

Quite right too. Extensive blind listening tests have revealed that Penrhyn slate is much more detailed yet strongly rhythmical. Night and day. Terroir is all.

That’s going back a good 10 years or more! We only did one - It was for a guy in Saudi who pulled out at the last minute so it got bunged on eBay - Things have moved on a fair bit since then

Well, I have to say I just love all the 301s to be honest . They do look good on that chunky plinth.

But the pink and gold remained in my head

Might have some somewhere it was basically the Pearl finish with all metalwork 18ct

Edit - Ah ha!
It wasn’t quite my bag but as a commission / learning curve it was an important one.

FFS I’ve been trying to avoid turntable porn but that’s holy grail (no pun intended) level - the equivalent of finding a Color Climax mag in the wild when you were 13 levels of porn.

I guess the fine tradition of leaving porn in the woods has been overrun by mobiles these days? I would personally like to shake the hand (Probably wear a glove) of the chap who used to dump Scandinavian literature all over the local forrests - a fine and curiously active fellow… I’m sure society would take a dim view of him today but he did a great deal for a young Mr. MWS

Oh to be able to get that level of thrill again :star_struck:

As much as I love to be out in Nature it fails to feel like a lottery win when ferreting under bushes these days.

Yeah bags of dog shit don’t have quite the same thrill.
