Best wishes to Jan, Mick!

Thanks guys. We’re home. Nasty viral thing that should go in 48 hours or she’s back.

Great weekend by th way. Lovely cooking by Rob.

Pleased to hear it Mick

Great

Jeez Mick, give Jan my best. Hope it is the 48hr nasty.

Good to hear it appears nothing serious.

The worry is that she has had the same thing 4 times over the last 3 weeks, each getting worse and lasting longer and now she has blood in her pee so we are just being careful.

And she never tells me until the last minute - like this.

The other thing is she is NEVER ill so scared the shit of me.

Fucking Geordie women!

We’re sure it’s nothing serious, though we’ve just got to keep an eye on things I guess.

Hi Mick.

I am obviously not a doctor, but this is all starting to sound horribly familiar.

Weeks of agonising gut pain, being told it’s a virus (this appears to be GP code for “I have no idea”), peeing blood. The wheels properly fell off shortly after that.

Please see if you can get Jan referred to a colorectal guy and/or a urologist.

FWIW I ended up handing over a large pile of cash to short circuit the route to getting a proper diagnosis. Sorry for being negative.
