Financial advice - tax implications of renting out property

Hey guys,

just wondering if anyone has any knowledge around renting out a property that you own, on a mortgage, and the tax implications of that. Asking on behalf of my ex-partner. Just wondering if I could maybe hook her up with someone for a bit of advice, either by email or a quick phone chat or whatever.

We rent our spare house out through an agent. Costs more, but is less ball-ache. Simple enough to do the self assessment.

She found a financial advisor, and a short chat has clarified it all, and it’s a lot simpler and less onerous than she expected, so all sorted.
