Fitting beech stave worktops

This, and don’t force it, take it slowly, let the blade do the work.

I’m crap with wood but this. Let the saw do the work, and when you think you are going slow, go slower.

I still wouldn’t use a down cut blade, I’ll concede and tape the top with good quality masking tape, but down cut blades are really only good for thin laminated stuff.

Personally I’d hire someone to cut the hole

Take it to a joiners shop with the sink cut out marked on it. Pay them £30 cash and they will lob it through a CNC router for you.

Rather than pay, how about good old-fashioned bartering and exchanging of skills. Ask if any of them need a cartridge fitting in return for sorting the worktop.

It’s all marked out ready for me to tackle in the morning :flushed:

why not use a pizza wheel?

A man of your skills, with a good blade, taking your time, will be fine.

We will soon know

Wank.

Maybe afterwards. I need you on standby for sink, or is it basin? plumbing

Drill a hole about 4" across so that you can get a spokeshave into, then put down some elbow grease.
