Five hundred quid vinyl set up

You can be more ambitious than changing the cart too;

Is that a RB250 or a 300 ?

RB202. There’s a guy somewhere in the Midlands knocking them out. I still have that I think.

Worth looking into. Thanks.

He’s probably sorted now, but I could offer an Aiwa 2600 t/t (a decent semi-auto, arm lift and motor stop by optical sensor at side end) with a cart, JPW AP3 speakers, and one of a few amps for £500.

Nice speakers. Need a good amp to show their best though

He’s not sorted yet tbh. He really likes the lookof the AT LP5 but at the price I found it at Currys (£189) its predictably out of stock and he’s hoping it will come back on before the deal expires.

However please tell me about the choice of amps and what colour/ condition are your JPWs?

This is potentially timely;

Thanks for all the ideas and offers.

In the end he went for a pair of Edifier S3000 Pros

And a Sony PS4300 turntable -

Just need to find him a cheap and small MM phono stage now.

Project phono box would be an obvious choice.

What do you have yours say on? Stands or a sideboard or shelf?

Filled stands. They’re a bit big for a shelf / desk etc.
