I was thinking Rashford might show his worth in this one. As long as someone does I’ll be happy.

Whilst I know that no games are “easy” at international level, if we can’t beat this Sweden team in a QF, then we really ought not to be in the QF

This whole coming home wave is making everyone completely lose their shit

Sweden could potentially be another Iceland but I think this England team is far better prepared with a far better plan than Woy’s shower at the last Euro’s were.

Historically there is nothing in it England have W8 D9 L7
The last time the two teams met Sweden won, Sweden will be fancying their chances and reckoning they are in the easy side of the draw. They certainly won’t be scared of playing England.

Actually looks like Bob is right (:confounded:) and this is really happening. After probably 18 months of rumours and denial we now have a u-turn within a few days. His ankles are made of dust and pencil shavings, what could possibly go wrong?

I wonder what the recent defeats of Germany, Portugal, Argentina & Spain will do for them in x4 years time?

He won’t move out of London, he is one of these scared to live somewhere else types.

Manchester United have an agreement to sign Alex Sandro for 60 million Euro. That is the news in Spain and Italy. I thought he was off to the Chavs?

Ronnies new house apparently.

We lost interest last season because of the price.

Erm, this?

Yeah that could go even ronger but being as it’s West Ham, it’s just the sort of thing that could happen. :pensive:

Wouldn’t be the first crock you bought. Andy Carroll was another

zackly…

I am against. Wilshere could be every bit as bad.

I don’t think he’s that good even when fit. Ramsey is a far better player for Arsebal, for instance.

No, I’m certain they’re not scared. It’s the perfect draw for them.

The last time they met, we got Zlatan’d…and they were a much stronger team. This though is one of the weakest Sweden teams for a long time. None of them (with the possible exception of Lindelof?) would get anywhere near the England squad.

It’s not they I think we will beat them, just that we bloody well ought to.

Sweden are an example of a well organised team being greater than the sum of its parts. Argentina were a good example of the opposite. Hopefully this England team is more like Sweden ie properly prepared & all pulling in the same direction. We’re all aware of the limited pool of players Southgate has had to choose from.

Not convinced. Sweden have made it to the quarter finals at the expense of Holland, Italy, Germany and Switzerland. That’s an impressive array of scalps by anybody’s standards.

I trust Sweden are an example of how Mr. MWS finds another silver lining to stain.

Hooray. Uruguay are good but horrible to play against. They’ll have to do more now.
