Friday trip to Definitive

Nothing to see at Definitive then :slightly_smiling_face:

The table, is this a new thing?

I donā€™t think heā€™s selling them. Itā€™s just a very large, low round coffee table that came with a glass top. It has been recovered with hundreds of sawn off bits of branch attached end on. The effect is almost like sitting on a beach with large pebbles in front of you. I donā€™t know how long heā€™s had it. I assumed it was a new thing for this new room.

Sounds like it should be in the Hipster thread.

Ah, there it is and a better pic than I could ever muster.

Iā€™m sure the one I saw (in front of the listening position) had the sawn off logs uppermost

He did say the room layout had changed substantially since your visit.

Excellent AA thread,

Op goes to Definitive and hears the Palladians and all the talk on the thread is about a coffee table :grinning:

It would be great if you could have your own choice of LP cover or 45 :+1:

That seems to be what theyā€™re saying for the square one and the illuminated one.

Oh yes, I didnā€™t read right down to the bottom of the page - nice!

Whatā€™s the etiquette at turning up to a place like that when you openely canā€™t afford the stuff?
Is nosing tolerated?
Got family just moved in round the corner so I will be passingā€¦

Yeah, Kevin is very amenable. Youā€™ll need to make an appt. though.

Print this out and stick it over your library card and then accidentally drop it on the floor when you get there, you should be good to listen for a few hours then.
