So, I’ve been donated these to try for my own system and move on if necessary. They’re not aesthetically my thing, and I’m still hoping to downsize a bit more, so rather than keep, i’m going to move them on here. I know how much you all love focals, so i’m sure these will be gone in minutes.
Lots of caveats here. The speakers work perfectly, and sound exactly as they should. But they have a few cosmetic challenges, all of which are accounted for in the price. As is the fact that these are collection only from Edinburgh.
One speaker is in general fine shape, with a few hairline scratches and scuffs but nothing major. The other speaker has a little battle damage and the rear bass port edge is cracked, alongside a small bit of damage to the lacquer in the same area. Theres also some other scuffs on this unit and overall there are marks to most panels. That said, from a couple of ft away, they look every bit the modern slick Focal that we expect.
The other caveat is the tweeter on the worse of the two, has a small bit of its outer edge damaged. This is only an overlap rim where the metal meets the foam surround, and we have been advised by focal themselves that this has no impact on performance, and will work fine like this for all time.

So whats the good news… well…
-
they sound just as they should, with really amazing bass depth for the size with a -6db point of 28hz!
-
all the grilles are intact and look good
-
all mid and bass drivers are spotless
-
they’re cheap… very very cheap
How cheap I hear you ask… well a clean set would be £2000-2500, a mediocre set would be maybe £1500-1800
These… yours for £750
thats right £750 for what once was £5050!
