This ad got lost in the fat-finger-of-doom, but I have some time on my hands and the watch is still for sale …
For sale, one IWC Ingenieur ref 666 AD (I believe the ‘AD’ means that it has a date).
Black dial, steel case, mounted on a very nice Atelier Jean Rousseau matte croc strap with a generic buckle.
The 666, along with the 866 is IMO the best “every day” watch IWC ever made, and is driven by the “legendary” Cal 8531 movement.
There is some serious nerd-level detail on these watches here.
No boxes, unsurprisingly, although it does come with the original sales receipt / guarantee (!) showing it was sold in Vienna in 1963.
I paid £4000, which is a very good price, simply because I know the vendor very well.
I would like that same £4000 in return.
