This is the second version of the Kondo SPc copper cable, original version was in a glossy lead-grey jacket, revised version in a matt finish lilac-grey. This range dates from 2012 if memory serves, these were purchased from Definitive Audio in March 2013. Termination is with Definitive’s preferred connectors.
These are considered a significant improvement over the original copper version, sounding closer to the silver in terms of tonal colour and ‘stretch’ as Kondo-san used to describe it.
As it turns out Kevin Scott at Definitive latterly came to prefer these to the silver in many systems; while the silver cables edge it on transparency, the copper brings a wee bit more presence and weight to sonic images, but we’re talking fine margins
