I’m selling my Phasemation PP-500 MC Cartridge. It has around 900 hours on it and still sounds lovely.

Hmmm, interesting. What’s the usual estimated lifespan (assuming.one keeps a clean stylus & records)?
The Phasemation has the same Ogura PA stylus and boron cantilever assembly that is used on Koetsus. Some people reckon they’re good for 1500 hours. Personally I’m a worrier and would get it checked over at 1000 hours by ESCO who in its present condition could retip it for around £300.
FWIW, I use a DS Audio ST-50 stylus cleaning pad to keep my stylus clean and all my records are wet cleaned regularly on a VPI rcm. Therefore, the Phasemation has been used in an optimal environment having been fastidiously mounted on an SME V-12 throughout.
