Full English for Meatmen

Would rather a spam fritter than whatever the fuck these are.

Breakfast is no place for potatoes in any form.

Beans in a ramekin, no Black Pudding, Pink Sourdough toast !!!. Need I go on ?

Eggs have been cooked under a hand dryer as well.

Woah, I’m with you on Americanised hash brown shite but a tattie scone is a fine addition to a breakfast.

I was just about to chime in with pretty much the same thought. Potato cakes, Irish potato bread or indeed Scottish tattie scones all find their way into traditional UK cooked breckies legitimately.

Agreed. I’ll heartily add baked beans to that, more American shite… They have their place but NOT on a brekky plate.

Full ā€˜English’ in my mind is bacon, egg, sausage, black pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms & fried bread. Nothing else required.

We’ve been eating baked beans here since Mrs Beeton was a Miss, so, again…

I eat baked beans, but not on a breakfast :poop:

With regard to potatoes, it’s where the carbs are coming from. You already have bread (or toast) you don’t need to add potatoes or rice or pasta or any other carb.

I’ll break this rule with baked beans because I like them, apart from overly sugared shite like Heinz.

I was in New York a couple of weeks ago. They do the best breakfasts… two eggs, sunny side up, sausage ( or bacon) with home fried potatoes. Toast and Lashings of coffee. Very hard to beat. :ok_hand:

You have fat coming from at least four different sources on the plate which is fine but double carb is a no no?

It’s no different to a burger with fries.

WTF? ā€œorā€ fuck’s sake.

Where is your restraint?

The must have… with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and pre- diabetes. That fucking restraint. :+1:

Of course, if you have none of these then crack on! Bacon as a side is surely available :ok_hand::slightly_smiling_face:

No!

It’s the first thing on the plate

A breakfast without bacon is like a jacket without collars… :face_with_tongue:
