You could finish the painted bit then move the horns onto that side, then paint the section that was under the kit. At least you wouldn’t have to carry anything upstairs!

What is blindingly obvious to most of us can be a mite opaque to accountants…

Stop this oppressive common sense business it’s corrosive and unmeatmanly. 100% the best course of action is to not paint the troublesome third which you can paint round in a cack handed fashion and claim it as art or a statement on society today.

Better still do it blindfolded

Just paint right up to the horns. Horns will never go out of fashion so will never be moved and nobody will be able to tell it isn’t painted :sunglasses:

The unpainted area under the speakers is there to ensure the speakers optimum position is clearly marked. Will also avoid any unwanted oil based resonance.

That’s what I’ve done with the first two thirds, silly!

Moving the horns is far from trivial, and ultimately I don’t really care that much. I’ll probably leave it as it is once I’ve finished the second coat and got some rugs to tie the room together.
