I’ve just had a quote for 8x4’ slot-in panels + concrete base and posts and removal of the old fence. £870.
How long is the fence?
Standard width garden panels (6’ ?). So about 48’.

recently had a 7foot high fence done with extra high quality panels [ i.e featheredge ] 84 foot long 14 panels and removal of old fence at about 1600 quid
870 sounds a reasonable price if includes removal of old fence and disposal , skips cost a fortune these days
Oxfordshire prices are few years ago were typically £100 per erected 6’x6’ panel including parts.
Your quote it’s not stupid.
Yep, I paid about £90 per 6x6 panel with concrete posts and kick boards a couple of years ago.
18 months ago I paid £1K for 13M of 1.8m high premium wavey fencing (each panel was £88 as a panel without fitting).
