Gigs I'm going to. The Gyroscope diaries

Just got a ticket to see Tommy Emmanuel supported by Molly Tuttle (Hope they do something together at some point of the show)

Any guitarists out there? Watch this and weep.

Nadine Shah’s London date next May clashes with Jane Weaver, for which we already have tickets.

So I have been informed that we’re going to Manchester the previous Saturday :grinning:

Listening to this old chap singing a few songs

and chatting with Jon Wilkes about the 50s, 60s and 70s

will have to dig the old LP out

When you go to the local pub carol sing along and the pianist is Kathryn Roberts.

Wondering if any other Lakemans will show up.

EDIT. Seth & Sean here now but don’t know if they’ll be accompanying or just singing along.

Martin Simpson seasonal special*, solo for the first half and guests to come,

who turned out to be Liz Hanks on cello, with Amy… and his daughter on backing vocals

I wondered whether Richard Hawley might appear on stage, but he stayed in the audience.

  • No Christmas songs, but he likes to do a Sheffield gig at this time of year. The Greystones is pretty much his local pub. He was on form and enjoying himself, a good evening - nearly 3 hours from start to finish.

Last gig of the year. Big Special at the Lexington.

Some helmet at St Pancras suddenly found himself very badly outnumbered by All The Police including the Guys With Guns

Sleb spotting: Steve Lamacq

Wouldn’t know him if he fell on me :joy:

King’s College choir at the Barbican.

The actual choir is in the middle, that’s the Crouch End Festival Chorus around them.

Because we stayed in on NYE and watched his concert, and Claire was half cut and bought tickets whilst under the influence.

Actually looking forward to it after his Glastonbury sets.

Am getting Mary Whitehouse Experience EMF sketch vibes.

Fucking can’t wait. Pre loading with 80’s TOTP fest.

Six weeks of fucking Rick Astley on the telly. You’re welcome mate.

Haha, music is meant to be fun, and going off his Glastostuff, it will be. Enjoy your annual trying to get Nick Drake thing.
