No, I wasn’t there and if I’m honest 19 year old me would have probably been pretty derisive about the music.
Also looking at the date I’ve just realised that it would have been my mother’s 101st birthday today.
Senior moment this evening when I remembered at 8.20 that the Spooky Mens’ Chorale had started singing at 8.00 a 15 min walk from the house. The heavens also chose that moment to empty their contents.
Gave it 10 min for the storm to pass then hobbled down and still got a very enjoyable hour of Spookiness.

and for one guy he has a massively disproportionate influence on live music in London.
I was there and 20 year me enjoyed it. Although do remember Boy George was completely off his face on drugs and still had some kind of cream face mask on.
I lived in a young persons hostel in Kentish Town at the time and he could frequently be seen going into his dealer across the road from us.
On Friday I am seeing the first ever gig of a close friend’s punk band in Bristol.
He’s always made a big deal of not wearing the t-shirt of the band you are going to see.
Naturally, me and a mate have conspired to print and wear, on Friday, bespoke t-shirts of his band and present him with one after the gig.

bought my old JBL L300 from John Verity, they were his garden studio speakers at his cottage.
Hoping it is going to be a great gig. Expecting around 80 at the moment.
