He sits in an interesting group of artists that I really want to like, but their music just doesn’t scratch where I itch. He seems like a genuinely fantastic bloke, and the fact that a fairly overweight, not traditionally good looking man has done so fucking well means you know the talent is just right up there. He was hilarious in an interview he did on Graham Norton a while back too, very human.
He has some rather troubling mental health issues. He does not hide this fact, he can’t, his ticks are pronounced. Here’s his Glasto appearence in 2023 where he couldn’t continue due to an episode
The crowd will him on - an example / reminder of humanity at it’s best.
I’d fled that for the Rick Astley, Smiths set. I left my wife with the rest of the sobbing punters.
Right decision. Rick rolled it!
Ditto, super stuff!
Cymande on at two west holts
Enjoyed this

Really looking forward to Goat, rarely listen to the albums, but love watching them live.
Just watching Pulp great set.
Don’t really feel the need to, tbh.
No, much easier to slag off stuff you have never listened to and have no intention of ever doing so.

Yep they are sounding effortless and cool ![]()
A set of talented musicians, bringing positivity. A highlight alongside Floating Points for me so far.
On the flip side, thought I’d check out Kneecap, given the fuss. Alas, no talent to back the opinion, just Goldie Looking Chain without the sense of humour.
Just tried to listen to the John Foggarty set, as I love a bit of Creedence, and the mix was just awful. Could hear his voice fine, and then everything else was just a sort of vague mush, with the exception of the bass drum which over powered pretty much everything but the vocal, and sounded really incongruous in the context.
Black Uhuru playing a very decent set at the moment. A bit more lively than Burning Spear were on Friday.
its something when Rod looks better than Mick. ![]()
See David Palmer is still drumming for him.
Thinking of it,don’t think ABC have ever played Glastonbury
They would go down well on the legends spot.
Here we go. Goat
Turnstile are doing a great job on the Other stage if you like thrashy guitar stuff.
