As a sort of Seahawks supporter I wondered what the hell they were doing releasing DK Metcalf and Geno Smith.
Now it seems that they have signed Sam Darnold.
He seemed to be one of those great college QBs who never makes it in the NFL. After periods with NYJ, Panthers and Niners he seemed to find himself at the Vikings, whether he was just a slow starter or their system and coaching suited him I am not sure.
He certainly has talent so the Seahawks must be intending to build a team around him.
I think the Seahawks flattered a bit last season as I don’t think they were as good as their record implied. They were found out by the really good teams.

Rebuilding time, they have 11 picks in the 2025 draft due to compensation for some of the free agents leaving. Next season will be a writeoff
