I would celebrate if the new year wasn’t just exactly the same guff with a different number attached. However, I suspect it will be a Hermes/Evri level rebrand for chronology.

So as we approach 2026, I take time to reflect on the year that we leave behind.
There were highs and lows;
Cousins married and relatives lost.
Health issues and strength from recovery.
Beauty of human spirit, and the ugliness of hatred.
Retirement (finally) and missing dear colleagues.

As is usual, there have been better years, but there are always worse. Despite all this, I still consider myself lucky to still be here.

2026 is an exciting prospect for many reasons. Not least is time. Time to do the things that have been delayed by work. Time to smell the coffee. Time to enjoy !

My continued best wishes to all those who continue to read my bullshit (whether we agree or not).

Much love, and hope for the coming year.

Another year of:

Friends and family members lost (not all missed, tbf) and some new ones gained too
Life choices questioned and some great opportunities found to balance that
Uncertainty about the future (don’t we all?)

… and AA - supported ‘sanity’ keeping this nut grounded :upside_down_face:

Hope next year brings more of the same - luv ya all, ya bunch o’ cuntz!
