Help - my CD replay is as good as my vinyl 😔

Fuck !

Dear Abattoir,

I know this is arse about face but my CD replay is, for the first time ever, pretty much as good as my vinyl.

Over the past couple of weeks I have been listening to more CD’s than vinyl. I’m so ashamed, what can I do ?

New power cable and interconnect. If no joy, tonearm rewire and fooses.

Start the same thread on pfm. They love this sort of thing. I’d be surprised if Tuga didn’t post some charts before a herd of smug objectivists descend on the thread asserting the technical superiority of digital.

Not a chance.

Can’t afford to.

Valid.

Think of all the new friends you’ll make.

Yeah, like I need those sorts of friends.

You will have already upgraded the cable lifters. If all else fails clean the stylus. Then check nothing is out of whack, e.g. fiddly bias adjustment threads and pulleys.

Is this because of the Shelter cart you bought off me? :grimacing:

 That’s a point.

Welcome to my world. Why is a good thing being represented as a bad thing?

Nothing worse than all your sources sounding good. It triggers Hifi paranoia for which there is no real cure.
