Whereabouts? We’re going down that way in September.

EDIT: Ah, found it. Farol de cabo

Spot on. We are staying a little further east, Salema.

Farol de Cabo is the most south Westerly point in Europe I believe.

I think we’re basing ourselves in Lagos but I’ll be having a good look around that SW corner.

Anyone been to Naxos?
Good for a relaxing beach holiday?

I think we are off to Lagos tomorrow.

I’ll report back. :+1:

Went to Naxos several years ago and loved it.
Maragkas is where we stayed and the beach is fabulous. Very chilled.

Ponta da Piedade just below Lagos looks interesting. I’ll be taking the drone down there.

Is it easy to get around?

Only one bus route to/from Naxos Town and Maragkas.
We didn’t really do much exploring, so haven’t looked into getting around the rest of the island.
They do make some lovely wine though.

Holiday lite.

We’re going to Quorn near Loughborough for a night.

Jan’s cousins get together, 11 of us all together plus dogs so will need to find a walk or two.

Cousins average age about 75 so bring it on.

Bradgate park for a light toddle around, GCR stations at Quorn or Rothley for cafes.

We have just booked a cottage between St Austell and Newquay for a week in the middle of September. We will take Zak and intend to take him to the beach and other walks, the cottage stands in 10 acres so plenty of room for him to go mental. We intend to visit the Eden Project but nothing much else planned. Any suggestions for places worth visiting?

the South Pole. That will give you lots of options for day trips.
