Rethymno Town is 5 days Fly & Flop in an apartment with central location and swimming pool,
then 6 nights in Chania in an apartment in the Old Town (with a roof terrace) within staggering distance of the Venetian Harbour.
I can’t wait.

We had a good stay there, but it was probably going on 20 years ago.
My main memory is of lots of Swan and Egg chairs, and a full Stelton of coffee with breakfast every day.
I recall getting a train out to Aarhus and really enjoying it
and also getting a train over the Øresund bridge to Malmö.

Drove to Tampa for the day. The book suggests a visit to Ybor City, the historic district.
Parked up, walked around the corner… very strong feeling of deja vue, cogs in head turn… Shit… I’ve been here before.
Completely forgot about a work trip to Tampa 7 or 8 yrs ago, spent a Saturday afternoon in Ybor City drinking beer on this very road killing time waiting for the night flight home.
Work trips back then we’re frequent and meaningless blurring into nothing, still cant decide if completely forgetting is cause for concern. Very weird.
I very much doubt I’ll forget this visit. Lovely area.
