If burgers are your thing, the best burgers once ever had come from Hubbox near John Lewis.
There are an awful lot of chains in Exeter these days which is disappointing.
Definitely endorse the Fat Pig suggestion, excellent food and drink available.

It’s hot.
More expensive than I expected but on a par with established western resorts.
Scenery is to die for. Look forward to a wander round the old town. Preferably when there is no cruise ship in sight!
