It most certainly is but it’s good fun every now and again. Same could be said of alcohol or drugs. I only bet on Cheltenham and the grand national. My accounts not been used since last April. My grandfather was a gambling addict so I’m wary of falling into that trap. Can’t really comment on the welfare bit as I don’t know enough about it and it would be a bit hypocritical considering I eat bits of animals every day for pleasure.
