How actually do you feel?

How is your Daughter Ritchie? She must be through the best part of a week of isolation now.

And on the down side?

She’s fine, bloody posh but fine.

Her only symptom has been tiredness really. She has been watching movies all week and chatting with friends. I think its actually been a nice little breather for her.

Do you need an apprentice tailor?

That is good. I imagine the hygiene aspect has been very trying. Is it 14 days self isolation and then back to school?

Well, in all seriousness I’m pretty happy really, its just today.

I put hours and hours into a job here, to be fair its pretty difficult and because of that it wouldn’t flow, the last couple of days have been a slog. I was really struggling with it yesterday afternoon and I had a couple of goes at one particular thing which wouldn’t go right and it got to the stage where I just wanted to slice the fucker up, set fire to myself and run screaming through the village.

I decided to open a bottle of wine with food which led on to a rather nice malt. So, today I have a hanger and the job is still wrong, I’m still a worthless cunt and the worst case scenarios start appearing in my head…

Yeah, that would be great! Come here, live in. We could drink tea, talk shite and listen to tunes all day!

Still dying of allergies. Resorted to piriton so now I’m even more dopey and spaced out than usual. Had to use my inhaler regularly the last week for the first time in probably 10 years. Waking up at 3am with an asthma attack is always fun.

Sorry to hear that Edd, I dont get allergies but my dad did, he was basically allergic to everything. Winter at one point would include a week in hospital because if his asthma. If it’s any consolation, his allergies all went away when he got older and he lived to 91!

I’m used to it really. I had 5 years allergy free in Florida. This year has just been brutal.

Yep, feeling your pain Edd. This week is the first for 6 months where I haven’t had to use my inhaler. I have been on 5mg Loratadine twice a day since April.

Oof, feel for you mate, I used to die from hayfever when I was a kid. For some strange reason I’m also allergic to guinea pigs now…cant be near them now and had them for years.

yeah you have my sympathy. I did have three different inhalers, but haven’t had any attack since i gave up smoking inc the cigars

Its been ok really, it takes a bit of remembering to be hygienic 24/7 but got the hang of it mostly. I think Ava can go back to school on Thurs but they moved the fixed exeat to next weekend from last, so I expect we’ll take her back next Sunday evening.

After a term there you won’t recognise her accent at all.
According to my Mum I spoke beautifully when I left school.
4 years working in Bermondsey put paid to that!

She was suprisingly well spoken already I think, most kids seem to be around here, regardless of their background. After 2 weeks at that school though, she has got really posh and is effing and blinding like a posh person too. :joy:

I look back to March and can’t believe the amount of energy I had. I don’t know if it was nervous energy back then, or if I’m a bit burnt out now. There have been a few stretches recently where it’s felt like it’s been teetering on the edge of too much. We are all really struggling to do much of anything at all at weekends.

I am constantly so fucking glad I changed jobs when I did though :joy: How different things would have been, and not in a good way!

Socially distanced hot choccy. This is so wierd when you think of it. We all have masks and gloves on. I have a feeling we may have this situation again before this shit is done.

I can’t say I’d be doing that in my own home. I’m likely in the minority, I know.
