How do you slice your toast and do you have marmalade on it?

Boarding house toast is the way to go. Thin sliced bread, toasted to within an inch of its life, left to go cold and rock hard, served in a stainless steel toast rack that slices fingers and rock hard butter to lubricate. Memories eh!

As good a toaster as it is the Rowlett faf over the narrow slots did for it in the end, the old one going to the Local charity food kitchen where they use thin ready slice bread anyway…and we returned to a solid dependable old friend…
