He can’t be arsed moving
Why move? He’s got Pet Humans® for that!
And he knows it - mind you an adult sized version his radiator bed wouldn’t go amiss right now.
It was a cold winters night in Ardrossan in December 2006 and the rain was lashing it down. My daughter who was 15 at the time phoned and said she had found an abandoned kitten that was soaked through and shivering. She asked “What should I do?” I told her to dry it off and keep it warm then knock on the doors close to where she found it to see if anyone was missing a kitten. I said “Whatever you do don’t bring it home” as we already had two adult cats. A couple of hours later she arrived home and produced the said kitten from her jacket, “I thought I told you not to awwwww”.
The next day we phoned the cat protection league from that area and there were no reports. We said we thought he was too young to be away from his mother but he was eating and drinking. They asked us if we were ok to look after him and they would call us if they heard anything.
Anyway, 18 years later here he is on his favourite couch.
Including grey whiskers. He is physically in good health but deaf as a post and gets a bit yowley if you’re not line of sight.
Happy birthday old fella.
X.
Forgot to say daughter named him Lucifer.
This is Mademoiselle Lily. She’s cute as a button and was rescued from the side of a very busy road by some good friends.
She is extremely affectionate and playful- fucking quick- which probably dates back to her days on the streets.
We bonded.
Our Mk2 Ginger came to visit for a couple of hours earlier!
Was great to catch up! Haven’t chatted for a couple of weeks?
Snap! We’ve had feline guests (with identical colours to yours) staying over the holiday - fols’ mogs, Django (the ginger one) and Jinx.
‘What?’
Django is a stunner.
I guess he gets an extra large room at the cattery. Looks very chilled despite having been away.
Yeah, they do allocate one of the large pens for him, but he doesn’t really like being there. When he arrived back here this morning, he was extra affectionate and we could literally see him wind down and relax.
Presumably he will be packing his bags again in a couple of weeks?
Not sure, that’s Ann’s department…
Oh so we do cats as well do we?
As I’m living the bachelor life now, and living on the ground floor for a change. I decided to get a rescue cat!
She’s aggressively affectionate, highly motivated by food, and sometimes super irritating. Meet Lucy!
