If I was Napoleon living with all those mutts, I would want my own room too!
Do you think his deafness is at the root of the yowling? We have an ageing tomcat (Lurpak, also in generally good health), and he does this yowling quite a bit, and we’re forever trying to figure out what he’s trying to communicate! He is also deaf as a post. Lurps won’t yowl when he can see you. If he’s in the middle of it, and spots you looking, he stops instantly and licks his paw or gives a little regular mew, as though nothing was happening.
That’s my belief and Lucifer is displaying the exact same behaviour as Lurpak.
I’ve also noticed that when we are all out he will take a sentry position on the landing where he has the most panoramic view of the house and can see anyone entering. He did not do this before.
Obviously the rattling of the dreamies packet now has no effect, he has to read the label before he gets excited.
X.
Haha Lurpak and Lucifer! That’s quite a pair of names, and characters, from the sound of it.
Is Lurpak salted or unsalted? (Asking for a friend)
Depends of the time of day!
Actually the back-story is that as a kitten living in a shared house with his first owner, they came down in the morning and found him asleep in a giant size tub of Lurpak on the kitchen table that had been left open, having eaten most of the contents. And thus his name was inevitable!
It took a while before I saw his eyes!
